Alpine Ascents Cho Oyu Autumn 2006: R&R at ABC

R&R at ABC: Hey there friends, family and loved ones,

Vern Tejas reporting for “Team We’ll Cho-Oyu”. Big day today resting and recuperating from yesterday’s first foray upon the mountain. Music, socializing and cards occupied the team. We also just got e-mail up and running so the laptop got a good work out. Gopal our chef, surprised us with Sushi for lunch. It may cost a little more to go first class but it’s well worth it. Our Sherpa team took a little time out of their busy schedule to pose for a photo. These men are very important to mission here and we want to recognize them as such. Our hats off to our Sherpa crew.

Team members are in good health and spirits. Some are feeling a bit stuffy….probably a protective response to the dry cold air. Also we had our first eye issue but that seems to be clearing up nicely. Well, gotta go as tonight is movie night.
