             The above mentioned 9 members expedition team was permitted to climb 8163 meter high Mt. Manaslu from normal route for the period of 75 days from 17th April, 2006 under the leadership of Mr. Chieko Shimada of Japan.

Very sad news. Her home team is still holding out hope and are reportedly sending a rescue team to the mountain.
