Chris Simmons

Chris’s parents were devout skiers and
introduced him to the mountains at a young age. He realized that he wanted to
find a lifestyle in the mountains, and found one as a professional mountain
guide. Today, Chris guides for Rainier Mountaineering Inc. and the Northwest
Mountain School. He is working towards his UIAGM Certification, and is a
vocal supporter of the American Mountain Guide Association. Along with
frequent trips in the Washington Cascades and Mt. Rainier, he has also guided
for the U.S. Antarctic Program in Victoria Land; Denali, Alaska; Orizaba,
Mexico; and Cotopaxi and Chimborazo, Ecuador. Chris has also climbed with
friends in Alaska, Antarctica, New Zealand, Thailand, Yukon Territory, and
throughout the United States.
