Update:
This is Ryan Waters checking in
for the SummitClimb Everest North Ridge Expedition from Tibet, May 12, calling
from Base Camp. We're having nice weather today. All of our members just
arrived back to Base Camp yesterday from a short rest down in Shigar.
Everyone arrived yesterday healthy. We sent the rest of our staff up to ABC
yesterday where they will be getting things ready for our upcoming summit
push. They're doing final preparations to our high camps, carrying oxygen and
all that good stuff.
Today we
have three members leaving Base Camp to start towards ABC deciding to go to
the Intermediate Base Camp today. They are Neal, Magnus and Fredrick.
Tomorrow, I will be going as well as Bob towards Intermediate Camp. And then
probably the 14th, our last member Steve will be leaving for Intermediate
Camp. So we're staggering the team starting to go towards ABC in preparation
for our summit push. Which we're glad to announce, since we've got weather
reports now coming in and it sounds like there's going to be some hopefully
stable weather coming sometime around the 17th and thereafter. So as of right
now our tentative schedule which could always change depending on the
weather..{transcription ends mid-sentence}.
