SummitClimb Pumori 2006 Lance Williams from New Zealand reporting in...

Hi there, this is Jay from SummitClimb calling from Advance Base Camp with the latest news from the SummitClimb.com International Pumori Expedition. It's a gorgeous day outside today.  But to update with the latest news we've got Les Williams from New Zealand, and he's going to give us a dispatch.

Here you go Les.

"Thanks mate.  The setting today of our expedition finds us all fighting the minor bugs and coughs that seem to go hand in hand with the Khumbu. However, we're finally placed in two groups in position to make attempts towards the summit--Philip at Camp One at 6150 meters with Matt, Walter, Bert and 'Big Wall John.'  Jay is at Advanced Base Camp with myself, Jack, John Kazanas and Amanda.  All of our fingers are crossed for this beautiful weather to continue while Sherpas bring up ladders to bridge the crevasses to Camp Two.  We're all learning basic high mountain skills such as locating one's drink bottle or pee bottle in the middle of the night.  All of the meals here are great considering we look out at Everest most every day.  If someone would like to open a fish and chips shop here your first customer's ready and waiting.  So I'll sign off now and say to all of you out there that the Pumori Expedition members wish you safe and well and send you our love.  See you."
