  SummitClimb Pumori 2006 Summiting soon

Good morning,  this is Jay here from SummitClimb.com updating you with the latest news from the  SummitClimb.com International Pumori Expedition. We've just spent our second night at Camp One.  We were supposed to go to Camp Two yesterday, our small little group consisting of myself, Jack, Les and John, but the route to the Summit is not quite in yet.  So we figured it's best to stay here in Camp One for another night rather than spend an extra one in Camp Two, which is at 6500 meters.  So Phil, John, Bert and Richard showed up here in Camp One last night, and it was a pretty cozy night, we had three people to a tent because our overzealous Sherpas had taken all the spare tents up to Camp Two.  I guess that's the price of being too hard on them. It was a great night then, it was very nice and warm with three people in the tents, that's for sure.

Today is another gorgeous day, and we're planning on moving up to Camp Two today and we're going to spend tonight there and our superstar Sherpas Lapka Cheri and Tensing, they're going to be fixing the routes, were going to start fixing the route to the summit this afternoon, and complete the job tomorrow with us hot on their heels.  With any luck, we'll be summitting tomorrow.  I hope to bring good news with the next dispatch.  Anyway, that's it from us, and there'll be more news shortly.  Bye bye.
