It's a big family festival
here, so our Sherpa Women's Climbing Workshop students hosted a special
celebratory dance for everyone to get together and share stories and memories
of our workshop. Here they are dancing with some of the team members from our
Ama Dablam and Cho Oyu expedition who are still around Kathmandu enjoying this
beautiful city. These sherpa dances are an integral part of the culture here
and a way for everyone in the group to participate as equals.

can see the Cholo Peak (circa 6000 metres), and on the right of the photo, you
can see Everest and Lhotse. The people in the photo are from left to right:

Sherpa (Guide Aspirant). Thanks a lot for your kind attention into the Sherpa
Women's Climbing Workshop!

This is a picture of Gokyo Lake and the settlement of Gokyo (left of

the right. This might be one of the most beautiful spots in the entire Khumbu!
