making our exit
We’re making our exit from ABC
here this morning. The yak bells are ringing and dung burning in the herders
tents all around us. It’s a beautiful morning with the rarity of waking up to
no snow on the ground. We can see a team going for the summit with a layer of
very high cirrus clouds above.
Tonight we will be in Tingri and we’re looking forward to the change of
scenery and pace. Sunday night will be in Zhangmu and showers a part of the
afternoon which everyone is looking forward to. We have already made contact
with Jiban back in Kathmandu and the group is hoping to get on a flight seeing
plane on the 27th in order to have an aerial view of the range and Cho Oyu.
Our last project last night was to take our prayer flags and bring them up to
the highest point above ABC and spread a giant string in order to send our
best prayers and wishes to all the teams still on the mountain through the
