Mt. Everest 2005: Alpine Ascents Everest 2005

Updates

Vern Tejas, Willi Prittie, Dave Morton, Jose Luis Peralvo, and Lakpa Rita Sherpa will lead the Alpine Ascent team on Everest this Spring. They will attempt the standard South East ridge route.

One of the members is Esther Colwill. Esther joined the Everest team to achieve her goal to climb the Seven Summits, an aspiration that began when she grew up in eastern Africa and traveled to Kilimanjaro at the age of 13. British by nationality, Esther moved to Calgary four years ago to combine the opportunity of pursuing a business career with Deloitte & Touche with the accessibility of the Canadian Rockies. As part of her Seven Summits goal, Esther supports New Beginnings, an organization committed to ending domestic violence and providing shelter and support to those affected by it. Esther’s previous climbs include: Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Denali, Elbrus, Shuksan and Rainier.
