Update: We have confirmed that Sergey Kaymachnirkow with the Russian Everest expedition is in the Birendra Hospital in Chhauni. Sergey Kaymachnirkow was a member of Alexander Abramov's Russian Everest Team in 2003 and is listed as a member of his team this year...

We e-mailed the team yesterday, but we had not gotten a reply. Part of the team is already reported at base camp.

The team decided to overland while the Maoists strike had a road blockage until Tuesday....
