  Mt. Everest 2005: Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa summits for his 12th summit, his brother Jangbu gets his 10th, this younger brother his 6th!


Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa is in the yellow down suit, summited for the 12th time on May 30th, 2005. Jangbu Sherpa in the blue down suit is his older brother; Jangbu summited Everest for the 10th time. Along with them was their younger brother for his 6th time! This picture is taken on May 30, 2005 this year. This year Lhakpa Gelu Sherpa was sirdar for the Succesful Iranian Everest expedition which summited 12 climbers.

Honored by His Majesty The King Gyanendra with Gorkha Dakchin Bau 3rd for his accomplishment in 2003 of the speed ascent of Mt Everest and many other awards from different associations and forums.

Mr. Lakpa Gelu Sherpa, Chairman of WORLD RECORDS EXPEDITION & TREK Pvt. Ltd Climbing Guide from Jubing-1, Khari Khola, Solukhumbu, Nepal has been successful to hold the World Record of Fastest Climbing on the top of World highest Mountain 8848 meters, Mt. Everest for only 10 hours 56 minutes and 46 seconds in 2003 and from Base Camp to Summit to Base Camp took 18 Hours and 20 Minutes. This record was recorded with Guinness World Record in 2003. Primary Education up to class 5 from the local school from Juving, Kharikhola Ni. Ma. Vi. School, started in Tourism Business since 14years of Age. Actively participated in Mountaineering from 1991.  In 2001, we all three brothers reached to the summit on same day.

The handling agency of the Expedition Team is  Thamserku Trekking (Pvt. Ltd.)   Kathmandu  Nepal.
