| Meanwhile we get bad news from the North of Everest. Some people summited successfully from there but these stories are accompanied by thrillers. When fixing the route, some sherpas got severe frostbites. From our side, i.e. from South, there isn't still no succesful summiting this season. But our expedition has not ended yet. Packing all the equipment needs a lot of time. All loads must be prepared and sorted to fit the 25 kg limit for yaks.
Jana, Thomas and Thorsten intend to leave Nepal rapidly. I have to manage the Debriefing at the Ministry and will stay here for another week or so. Background A German team will attempt the South side of Everest (Nepal). The final team: Olaf Rieck, Thomas Türpe, Lakpa Gelbu Sherpa, Jana Odrich. all members are Germans except Lakpa Gelbu Sherpa (Nepalese)
