Mt. Everest 2005: Mountain Madness Expedition

Since 1994, Mountain Madness has led 29 team members on successful expeditions to Everest's summit.  This year's Everest expedition will approach the mountain from the Normal Route--ascending through to the South Col from the Khumbu Glacier, and continuing to the summit via the Southeast ridge.

Willie Benegas will be leading Mountain Madness' 2005 Everest Expedition.  Willie, 34, together with his twin brother, Damien, have a history of climbing including an ascent up a new route up Patagonia's West Face of  Pilquitron (VI, 5.9, A3) which is still unrepeated. In addition to his many and varied climbing & trekking accomplishments, Willie gathers a huge sense of satisfaction from introducing others to the wide-world of mountain experience.

A cold weather, high altitude double boot for extreme conditions The Olympus Mons is the perfect choice for 8000-meter peaks.
