Our brave Paul, who had spent hours climbing on Monday
night and yesterday morning but had to turn back at the South Summit, (so
close to the top) decided to have another attempt last night .
Although very tired, he hoped he would be able to reach the
summit this time. It is a marathon effort to do it once, but to do it on two
consecutive nights is unbelievable.
He almost reached The Balcony before making the brave
decision to turn around.
We, your family and friends salute you Paul. You did not
fail- you just didn't reach the Summit.
Thank you both Paul and Fiona for sharing your dreams with
us mere mortals- you have been such an inspiration to us all. Mary
