Everest 2006: Swee Chiow Everest Summit number Two,  how sweet it is....

Earlier: Swee Chiow Summits Everest for a second time! Yes, they summited at 5.45 am this morning. Together with Khoo Swee Chiow was Vincent Loh, Malaysian CEO at age of 51 together with 5 other Sherpas. We have not gotten their names at this point. Will let you know once I have them.

He has been called Singapore's very first professional adventurer. However, he is happier to simply let people know that he is merely chasing his dreams. One of his powerful messages is "If I can climb Mt Everest, so can you."

Earlier: Birthday & Anniversary 

I got up feeling slightly better. The medicine is effective. But the cough hasn't gone away completely.

I called Wee Leng to wish her happy birthday. Today is also our wedding anniversary. She is concerned about my health. I told her I will recover soon. 

She is 38 now and God has been very kind to grant us a 2nd child, a girl this time. She is due in mid June. We haven't decided her name yet. I think about it every now and then when I am climbing, just like when I was cycling to Beijing, the inspiration for Sheng Feng's name came to me while riding. 

Wee Leng may decide to climb Everest one day. When that happens, I look forward to staying at home to look after the kids. That will very cool for both of us. But I think the separation from the kids will be very hard for her. It's already hard for me. 

Good to hear Sheng Feng's voice too. My eyes welled up with tears when he said 'I miss you daddy'. This is my 1st trip that he said it. He is growing up fast.
