In
spite of a few minor set backs, Team No Limits is still on schedule to make it
to Everest Base camp today. The team rested up in Loboche for two nights in
order to get further acclimated, and hopefully meet up with their long lost
base camp manager, Roger Coffey. The team reports that they are feeling well
and ready to take this journey to the next level.
Roger
reported from Tengboche on yesterday and was doing well and making progress in
catching up with the team. Initially, Roger had planned on heading on for
Loboche, however, had a change of heart. "After passing many pale faced
westerners that looked like CPR would definitely be a part of their day's
itinerary, I decided to slow down a bit, catch my breath, and get some rest in
Tengboche," Roger said. Roger expressed that while he has missed the company
of his team that he has enjoyed some alone time in the beautiful mountains.
"Along my hike to Tengboche, I had a great deal of time for reflection. I
spent a lot of time thinking about my old buddies Jeff, Mark, and Mike. Wow,
we enjoyed some great time in the Smoky Mountains," Coffey said.
If all goes
well, Roger will head on for Loboche today!
We would
like to take a moment to extend our condolences to the climber who lost his
life on the Tibetan side of Everest. Our thoughts and prayers go out to
family, friends, and loved ones.
