Team No Limits member, Matt
Tredway, has inspired and caught the attention of schools across the country.
Tredway, a sixth grade Math and Science teacher from Steamboat Springs is
teaching students to live their dreams. To our knowledge, Matt Tredway is the
first K -12 teacher from the USA to make the lofty attempt of climbing Mount
Everest. Tredway, sponsored by Ford Direct, is endorsed by the American
Education Association and has gained a lot of interest from students and
teachers everywhere.
In an interview with Tredway prior to his departure, he stated, "I feel my
students have mountains to climb every day and I would like to teach them to
face these challenges." Matt Tredway and his team are inspirational and their
pursuit illustrates that their is no limit to what the human spirit can
achieve.
Today, fourth graders from Rockwell Elementary School followed the team's
progress on the Everest News web site. Layne Rigsby, the granddaughter of team
member, Dr. Larry Rigsby, enjoyed sharing the adventure with fellow students
as well as faculty. Rockwell Elementary sends their very best to the
Expedition members and will continue to follow this story as it progresses.
