  Everest 2006 Team No Limits: Team No Limits, reports in


After two months of ups and downs, Team No Limits members, Doug Tumminello and Roger Coffey, have just departed from Kathmandu. Team No Limits, a team that was in the making for well over two years, has suffered tragic loss as well as many disappointments. In spite of all of all of these obstacles, paramount blessings have prevailed and the dream of Team No Limits will continue to live on for years to come.

Expedition leader, Doug Tumminello, the only member of the team to stand upon the summit of Mount Everest, carried the dream to the top. Doug persevered and overcame all of the emotional as well as physical barriers the team faced. Doug carried on in faith and with great humility.

After the loss of two Sherpas, Doug spearheaded efforts to establish a memorial foundation for the families of the Sherpas who lost their lives in the Icefall tragedy. While Team No Limits left the United States with a mission to stand on top of the world - they will all return with a new mission. Team No Limits will remain dedicated to the Sherpa people and the peoples of the Himalayan region - as well as the promotion of responsible mountaineering. While out of humility, Doug did not report his involvement in a rescue mission on Everest News, the story will shortly be disclosed.

We are so proud of Doug and look forward to many great stories of his summit experience - standing on the roof of the world. In addition, many thanks go out to Base Camp Manager, Roger Coffey. Roger remained a dedicated member of the team and everyone is so thankful to him and all of his hard work.

So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”
