At least two Americans have been arrested for pro-Tibet
protest at Everest Base camp on the North side of Everest. Reports vary on the
number arrested / "detained" after they held a pro Tibet rally by displaying a
banner "One World, One Dream, Free Tibet 2008."
The protest was organized by students for a free Tibet. They
have posted a video of the rally at Everest Base camp.

A record number of climbers is expected to attempt to summit
Everest in 2007. Included in this number is a large Chinese team planning to
