As per the report of the Liason Officer from the base camp,
six members and six high altitude workers of "Merdeka De' Everest 2007" team
have successfully climbed Mt. Everest (8848 meters) from the normal route on
21 May, 2007 at the following time.

Background:
The Seven members team of
the MERDEKA de’ EVEREST 2007 from Malaysia has obtained expedition permit for
normal route and left Kathmandu for Lukla on 30th March 2007. The
team plans to climb the world's tallest peak between May 15 and 22 to mark the
50th anniversary of the independence of Malaysia.
