 Mt
Everest 2004:
Daniel E. Barter
|
 |
 |
 |
Born in Massachusetts, Dan moved
to New Hampshire in 1974. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife
Biology from the University of Massachusetts. Dan’s love of adventure sports
excelled while fighting forest fires at Grand Canyon National Park. |
A career change followed that
encompassed silver recovery and environmental compliance. In 1990 he founded
Northeast Reclaiming Services, Inc. out of Derry, NH. During this time, Dan
became the proud father of daughters, Faith (18) and Jessie (15).
Outdoor challenges continued
to be an active part of Dan’s life. He’s enjoyed skiing, hang gliding and
climbing. In 1996 Dan undertook his first high altitude climb. His
mountaineering experience includes Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Mount McKinley and
Cho-Oyu (25,000’). Dan’s bid to climb Everest is supported by his wife
Leslie. They currently live in Hooksett, New Hampshire and when they’re not
hiking or scuba diving, you may find them sailing on their custom Ketch.
Daniel is a member of
the
International
Mountain Guides team for 2004...
