Unforgettable day
The things of the Chinese
bureaucracy, the intransigence of the authorities of that country installed in
an almost dictatorial way in the Chinese Base Camp of Everest, at the time of
negotiating the progress of our march to Katmandu, has forced us to stay one
more day in this Base Camp, but thanks to that and the offer of one the other
members, Kitchheri, from Tibet, who has worked with the staff of the
expedition, we could enjoy the hospitality if a Tibetan family. We traveled
80 km over dirt roads to arrive to that house, located in the deepest part of
one of the valley on the surroundings of the Chomolungma national park. We
have known the family there, the hard way the live, the simplicity, the
austerity, but above all the hospitality they gave us. They opened all the
corners of their home and we shared dinner with them.
When we returned to Base Camp
we have seen with satisfaction that tomorrow morning we will leave at the
first hour of the day directly to Katmandu.
Good night.
