Update: It is cold and snow everywhere, nobody wants to get up. During our
breakfast we get the weather forecast from the net. The forecast is not
favorable. It is supposed to snow until May 2nd. We decided to do the
following: We have rest until Sunday the 1st and on the 2nd we will leave for
C0. It is not the easiest to be crossing the moraine and glacier while it is
snowing, but we cannot wait until the weather is better. And a decision had to
be made; we have one day of forced rest. Based on the list of items we have at
C0, we plan what else needs to be taken. We want to take more bamboo sticks
and mark some dangerous cracks. Last time we also forgot peaces of old mats
that we put under gas tanks. If the tanks are not sitting on the ground they
are isolated from the cold and we can cook a bit faster. And we also need
food. The plan is to stay in C0 for about 5 days. 6 people eat quite a lot in
5 days.
And now we just wait. Some of us read books, some play cards or chess. We are
still trying to dry our clothing. We write emails and read received regards.
In the evening the snow stops. Pepino, Ivan and Lucka are taking some
publicity shots. Kumar made spring rolls for dinner. Just before we go to
sleep Simon and Petr look at the weather forecast and it is completely
different than the previous forecast. It is even worse. Oh boy.
