Mt. Everest 2005: Czech Expedition rare picture of the Hornbein Couloir

The Czechs are headed up! A little wind! SO! They plan to try to set up camp 2 in the next few days...

Previous Update: The breakfast is late today. Yesterday we told Kumar we will be getting up with the sun, that is usually at 7:40 am but today the sun is not up at all. There is a quilt in the sky. "Eve" is not visible at all. We get up slowly around 9am. We get into a discussion about what to do with the crazy weather. Based on the new forecast, it suppose to snow until May 4th. We don't want to sit and wait, spending too much time in BC. We changed our plan. It should be possible to work the lower part of the face even in these conditions. We will come back if it is not possible. Tomorrow morning we are leaving for C0 and we will decide there how to proceed next. We count on the fact that at least during the morning we will be able to work on fixing the route on the face. We plan to be there 4-5 days, based on how much work we will be able to do. We have one more day of forced rest. We are getting our stuff ready for tomorrow. Kumar is baking us Chapati bread. The weather is disgusting outside.
