Update: In delayed reporting from base camp:
Friday May 6th
Today is again a rest day. Boys wanted to go to Chinese BC
to buy more ropes, but we change the plan over breakfast. They also need to
rest, so we send Kasang. We give him instructions, money and sample of the
ropes and off he goes. We have breakfast and do our laundry. We are finished
by launch knowing in these conditions it takes about 2 days to dry laundry. So
we try to speed it up. We write the emails and try to make the inmarsat server
work so we can send them. Then we went to their web site and we found out they
have a primary and secondary server. We try the secondary one and it works. We
manage to send the email and photos AND: the weather is getting better. We
have only this day to rest, and tomorrow to work on the face, yahoo.
Note these are delayed reports: We are trying
to bring you the current news on them and the delayed full dispatches. In the
current news, they headed up into the winds, and came back down...
