Everest 2005: Lakpa Sherpa and George Dijmarescu honored in Kathmandu

Update June 7, 2005: Lakpa Sherpa and George Dijmarescu were honored in Nepal along with Apa Sherpa. Lakpa has summited Everest 5 times. No other woman has summited more than twice. She is very strong; we have seen one article in th UK, that stated Lakpa was "lucky". Too bad the reporter never seen her climb, for if so, he would have known, she is a great climber. Lakpa has more than luck. Few men on this earth can do what Lakpa does. She knows how to "turn it on".
