Norwegian Men's expedition is back at ABC. Their Sherpas only got to
the ridge, according to the Sherpas... But every little bit helps!
Update 5/16/2005: The
Norwegian Men's expedition is back at ABC. It is unclear how far the
climbers got. Rumors say their Sherpas made it to the First Step and fixed the
rope to the ridge. NOTE THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED. Those making early summit
attempt should be prepared to fix rope up high again this year.
One Sherpa is said to have frostbite and will need to leave
the expedition. It is unclear how far the Sherpas could have gotten on their
own. But the Sherpas role in this case is of a worker for others...
