Update:
May 12 Lobuche
Hi
everyone,
We hope you all are doing well.

Here we are at
Lobuche, only one journey away from getting back to basecamp. While listening
to Juanes (the famous colombian singer) in the common room of our lodge, our
thoughts fly like the buddhist prayers through the wind to our loved ones back
home. It is snowing outside which contrasts with the warm and cozy atmosphere
around the wood stove in here. Everybody is well rested and well fed and eager
to head for the summit. Now it all depends on what the weather has in store
for us. We are all hoping we can go up without a long delay at basecamp. Our
outstanding sherpa team has been working hard stocking high camp in
preparation for our summit attempt.

Before
reaching Lobuche we passed by a memorial site where there are several chortens
remembering those who have died in the mountain. It is a very somber place.
However the confidence and spirit of the group is high and we are all focused
on having a successful and safe climb above all.
Thinking of you and your support for the most important part of the expedition
which is yet to come.
Missing you all,
Jose Luis.
PS: Saludos para Adriana, Erick y Luigi de parte del Papi. Los quiero mucho.
