Gavin & team
arrive at Lukla
Gav and the
trek team flew to Lukla today (4/1/2005) and heading up to Phakding, a gentle
easy leg stretching walk before that hill to Namche Bazaar tomorrow!!
Sue Rowland - our resident vet - and nurse Helena Ventham are trekking to the
village to start all the medical work. All the equipment for the Moving
Mountains project is currently being carried from Lukla to Bumburi for the
implementation of the Hydro Electric Power project.
Helena has found heaven in the Everest Steak House - 24oz finest Yak cuts! But
now has ten weeks of Tsampa and Dal Bhat! Keep watching for the new lean mean
Helena in ten weeks time!
