Gav was planning on going up
to Camp 2 yesterday from Camp 1 but returned to Base Camp and then Gorak Shep
due to bad weather. There was very bad snow at Camp 1 and he didn't want to
risk walking to Camp 2 alone in a white out - what with all the crevasses etc!
Descending the infamous Khumbu Ice Fall in a whiteout on your own was quite an
experience apparently! Gav has a walkman with him so he put on a good
