Day 9:
Good Morning this is mBank Lotto
Annapurna South Face Expedition. Today (29th o March) we have reached the
Annapurna Base Camp – ABC, the last loggia on our way to place were we will
settle our Base camp. We have some troubles with our porters, because they put
our equipment in this loggia and left and this is not a place where we want to
settle our BC, of course. So as it was a year ago we have to hire another
group of porters, that will carry our equipment up to the proper place. I
think that it should take about two days. During this time we will take some
rest and we will wait for our two members. Everybody feels good, the weather
is changeable – it is always good in the morning, later it gets worse.

Day 10: Hi, this is mBank
Lotto Annapurna South Face Expedition. This is our first day (30th of March)
in the place where we are settling the proper BC. There is about 70 cm of
snow here, so at first we will have to place the tents on the snow, and later
we will dig out the snow to put the tents on the grass. It will require much
work. The weather is OK, this snow is the remaining of the long winter. I hope
that Marcin and Piotr will join us today. Everybody feels good.... I must
admit that I am a little excited about looking at this Face again. It changed
a little, but what the situation is we will check when we come up near to the
Face.
Good Bye. Piotr Pustelnik
Dispatches
| Piotr Pustelnik will lead
a group of veteran climbers to attempt to summit Annapurna in Spring 2005.
After Annapurna he is considering Broad Peak "via normale but I still
think about this unclimbed ridge starting near Concordia." We have covered
Piotr numerous times including
Annapurna 2004.
