 Annapurna
2005: Hello from the
ABC
|
 |
 |

Day 41 – 29th of April: Good
Morning this is mBank Lotto Annapurna South Face Expedition. Hello from the
ABC. Yesterday all members of the expedition, Sherpas and our cook moved to
the ABC. Today Marcin Miotk and two Sherpas have gone up to The Camp I,
tomorrow me, Piotr Morawski and Vlado Strba will join them. Our plan for the
next days is to put the fix ropes on the way to Camp II, and if it is possible
maybe further, up to the first difficulties. This plan would be satisfactory
for us, we could easily return to the BC, take some rest and after that start
climbing up to the summit. The weather is not good, almost everyday we have a
snowfall, clouds, snowfall, clouds...and so on. There is no situation when we
have two or three days without snowfall or without clouds. We are praying
about good weather but we haven’t had it yet. Everybody feels good. I think
that tomorrow, from the Camp I we will be able to tell something more how the
conditions changed during the time when we where in BC. Thank
You. Good by. Piotr Pustelnik
Dispatches
| Piotr Pustelnik will lead
a group of veteran climbers to attempt to summit Annapurna in Spring 2005.
After Annapurna he is considering Broad Peak "via normale but I still
think about this unclimbed ridge starting near Concordia." We have covered
Piotr numerous times including
Annapurna 2004.
