Mt. Everest 2005: Waldemar Niclevicz Brazil on the Top of the World

Back in Brazil!

Dear Friends!

We are finally back in Brazil, relieved as ever, happier as ever!

I still haven't had time to rest, because after I came here all the excitement started, to publish the results of the expedition, especially the pictures and the videos, through numerous reports.

On Tuesday, 14th, we had a press round, in Sao Paulo, and we had interviews with journalist around the clock, even by telephone.  Still on Tuesday I went to Salvador by night, where I had a speech for Petrobras, on Wednesday morning.  Many other speeches are scheduled already (just this month they will be 4 more), that is very good, because each day I meet more people and I make my best effort to make them climb their "Everests".

The recognition of our victory by the media made me very happy, in each interview it is notable the enthusiasm of the journalists for the success of the "10 Years of Brazil on Everest Expedition", and also by the fact that we reached the top of Everest for the second time.  I know that a big part of this enthusiasm generated on everybody is because of the fact that Irivan and I had perseverance until we finished our climb with success, without losing hope ever.

I am also very happy with the satisfaction of our sponsors, Banco do Brasil, Try On, Wise Up and Terra, these great companies believed in our dream and also deserve all our recognition for the result of our effort.

Happiness is not missing also when we meet our family and friends, who maybe were the ones who suffered the most during the development of our expedition, all the time with their hearts in their mouth, anxious for the weather to improve, so that we would finally reach the top of Everest and we returned back home.

I am also happy for you, who were here on the website day after day, supporting, supporting!!!

So I would like to thank everybody, the media, the sponsors, my family and friends, to you, for you great support, for the love, the company in each of the 83 days of our long expedition to Everest.

Be certain that climbing Everest was really exciting once more, thanks to the effort of all of us, thanks to the faith of each of you, who believed that all would be true, sooner or later.

Now we will finally commemorate that Brazil, after 10 years, was once again on the Top of the World, that is fantastic!!!

A big and sincere hug to everybody

Waldemar Niclevicz
