Dawa Nuru Sherpa of Thame. With 6 Everest summits this incredible kind and
skillful climber will bring experience and humility to the "Pathfinder
2006," Everest expedition. |
Dave Watson, Mountain Guide, who summited Everest in 2004 on
an Asian Trekking permit with "ease" according to other climbers plan to
attempt the Fantasy Ridge and the real Second Step on Everest in 2006.
His report from KTM:
Greetings from Nepal, We made it
but my bags did not. Oh well. George and Lakpa's bags are here but I was
"helped" by someone who is not one of the best at her job. I found out today
my luggage is still in London, were she "helped" me. The bags should arrive
tomorrow. The flights were great, The planes were near empty so I was able to
stretch out and even lay down on one flight. We are cruising Kathmandu for
the next few days to find the best prices on fixed ropes, pitons, gas
cartridges and a ton of other things. We all feel great and are eating well.
It feels great to be back in Nepal, the sights, sounds, smells. This place is
beautiful. I'm so excited to be headed to the mountain again. I'll write
again tomorrow. Dave
