Weighting just 14oz the
Patagonia Micro Puff Pants eliminate any excuses for being caught unprepared
when an adventure goes bad. They are windproof, water repellent, compressible
and will keep you warm and cozy throughout a long unexpected night on the trail
or on a ledge.
The lightweight shell fabric is
manufactured using 1oz 20x20 denier mini-ripstop nylon; it is durable with
reinforced knees and seat (1.8oz, 40x40 denier dobby-weave). The shell is
windproof and water-repellent due to the Deluge® DWR finish. It won’t keep you
dry during a down poor but the Polarguard Delta high-loft insulation will retain
it’s warmth even when wet. However, it is best to have a base layer underneath,
as the nylon will get clammy if next to the skin.
The Polarguard high-loft
insulation is soft and compressible, it is like wrapping your legs in a summer
weight sleeping bag. Other features include fully separating, two-way side zips,
articulate knees and cuffs and a zipper fly. The waistband is elastic with
gripper elastic in the back accompanied by hook and loop adjustment tabs.
This is a great lightweight and
easy to store, insulating layer. The Micro Puff pant fits into any backcountry
expedition, from backpacking, climbing, riding to a warm-up layer at base camp.
We also recommend the Micro Puff Pullover by Patagonia, all the same great
features in a jacket.
