Petzl, Ecrin Roc Helmet Review
By the Everest GearGal
The Petzl Ecrin Roc Helmet is
on top of the climb when it comes to leading edge helmet technology. Ecrin Roc
is a serious mountaineering helmet, designed for aggressive adventures and
climbers. It is as tough as it is comfortable.
The Ecrin Roc can adjust to fit
any head size by engaging the unique wheel adjustment system on the side of the
shell. The rapid thumb wheel size adjusters work while on the head, making it
easy to tweak into perfection without missing a step. The chinstrap position is
also adjustable and the helmet comes with two headbands, one thin and one thick
to create a perfect, personal fit.
This Petzl helmet also features
lots of ventilation holes to keep your head cool even in hot temperatures and/or
through dicey moves. The Ecrin Roc helmet is complete with headlamp strap hooks
to keep your hands free after the sun goes down.
