Noboru Yamada has summited Everest 3
times and 3 different ways. He first summited Everest the first
time via the standard south east ridge route on December 16, 1983
during the winter season! One of the very few to Summit Everest in
winter and live to tell about it....
Second he summited Everest Oct 30,
1985 without the use of bottled oxygen via the standard south east
ridge.
Third, he summited Everest and
traversed the mountain from North to South.
He is one of Japan and the world's
leading mountain climbers with Summits of
Dhaulagiri in 1994,
Kangchenjunga in 1981,
Dhaulagiri a second time in 1982,
Lhotse in 1983,
K2 in 1985,
Manaslu in 1985,
Annapurna in 1987,
Shishapangma and Cho Oyu in 1988, to go with his three Summits
of Everest...
