The Sherpas of Everest Series:  Chhiring Dorje Sherpa

Chhiring Dorje Sherpa is from Rolwaling, Beding Village Gaurishankar 1, Dolakha, Nepal. He was born October 25th, 1974.

Chhiring Dorje summited Everest on May 19th, 1998 via the standard north east ridge route on the Japanese Expedition when he was 24. He summited Everest a second time on May 22nd, 2001 and again on May 17th, 2002 via the std north route. He summited Shishapangma in 1995 & 2001, Cho Oyu in 1996 & 2001,and Manaslu in 1996. He attempted the South face of Lhotse with the Japanese in Winter 2001.

Like many Sherpas if he was an American he would be famous...

His goals are: "First climber to reach the top [summit] within 14 and half hours and the second one is to cross [traverse] from north to south within 24 hours on Everest.
