2002 will also include the great Swiss climber Norbert
Joos and Kobi Reichen. Renata Odoni and Fredel
Beetschen as trekkers and basecamp supporters.
Also
note that there is a second Spanish expedition led by the
famous climber Juan Oiarzabal.
Makalu,
the 5th highest peak in the world, is located in the
heart of the eastern Himalayas. The Mountain was
first climbed by the French on May 15th, 1955 by J. Couzy
and L. Terrary.
