Mallory and Irvine The Final Chapter Everest 2005: We could use George Mallory's help

Wish list: One 1924 oxygen cylinder from the upper section of the Great Couloir or from the summit ridge.

After studying the Great Couloir there seems little chance that anything dropped into the Great Couloir would stay there very long, over time it would move down the mountain and wind up in a moraine at the base of the Rongbuk; conventional wisdom and gravity say this is so.  

However, some feel that George, like other early climbers would have left items as markers. A marker being an object left behind so others would know that the climber had been there.  Eric Simonson has shared with EverestNews.com that he feels the oxygen bottle he found in 1991 was probably left as a marker by George (or Sandy).

To that question, where are the other markers, if they went up the normal route that many have assumed? Of course there are other options on routes that George might have taken. Assuming the weather allows, climbers we are supporting will be checking some of those alternative routes this year, looking for George's help in solving the mystery.
