More from the Mallory and Irvine Team 2005
Peace, it is a nice thing. Soon I believe chaos will rule
this mountain like never before. At least 4 of us plan to head up. Everyone
has to make their own decision. Something tells me things are not going to be
good. Let's hope I am wrong. There will be no times for rescues, as people
will have to leave the mountain.
There are snakes here. But some good too.
What was tension with other teams has turned in pressure.
Especially in light of the summits and the Chinese!
What would Xu Jing do,
"I understood why Mallory and Irvine took the risk. They wanted to show our
potential as human beings. They weren’t mad." Has things changed? or are they
still the same?
We don't want to summit, just find an old oxygen bottle or
two!
We return to Mount Everest in search of an answer.
