Two helicopters sent to pickup 3 Slovenian Climbers from K7 B.C and drop them
at Muztagh B.C have returned to Skardu after completing the job. They tried to
pickup Mr. Miskovic with a sling but could not do it as very strong wind
failed the attempt. The rescue will be attempted tomorrow morning subject to
weather. (1445 hours - 26 Aug) As per advise of the local Tour Operator in
consultation with the Slovenian two helicopters left Skardu for K7 to pickup 3
Slovenian Mountaineers and try to drop them at Muztagh BC. These climbers will
then go up the mountain to assist Mr. Miskovic to come down to below 6000 m
from where he can be evacuated by the helicopters. The helicopters will also
try to drop supplies on him, if possible. (1515 hours - 25 Aug) As per a
telephonic call from Slovenia, one member of this expedition has died while
another is trying to get down to 5000m for helicopter rescue. Source askari

This is inform by Ghulam of Blue Sky, that
earlier two helicopters sent from Skardu
to pickup 3 Slovenian Climbers from K7 B.C their aim is to drop them at
Muztagh Tower B.C to aid in rescue effort going on there to rescue Mr.
Miskovic, a Slovenian climber injured around 6000m, while another Slovenian
died.
Further reports are coming that he is slowing
coming down. Mr. Humar the famous Slovenian climber is also on his way to
Mustagh Tower base camp, He is expected to arrive tomorrow morning in
Islamabad airport and then immediately plan to fly to Mustagh Tower Base
Camp to aid his country man in rescue efforts.
Mr. Nazir Sabir President Alpine Club and Mr. Ashraf Aman Vice President Alpine Club is also participating in rescue
efforts, Earlier I tried to contact Mr. George of Sunny Mountain Chogori
Expedition at K2 to inform him about this SOS call from Mustagh Tower base
camp, and ask him to help in this rescue efforts. Mr. George has two Nepali
Sherpa with him, these Sherpa can be a great help in rescue but his Sat
phone is not answering. [George was on K2 at Camp 2 a day or so ago...]
Earlier Mr. Gregor Kresal has been successfully
lifted from Muztagh Tower on August 19.
