  More Expedition for Pakistan in 2008

Dear Everestnews Readers, 

New Democratic Government is now fully functioning, all the indicators are showing positive sign, In its latest edition Wall Street Journal says if Pakistan government continue its policies it will be important country for foreign investors. 

Nine more climbing expeditions applied for permit, the total number reach to 29. Among them are The North Face Ski & Snowboard Expedition for Gasherbrum II led by Mr. John Griber with 12 members from USA and Italy. Uk and Canadian are coming for Distaghil Sar Peak with 5 members led by Dr. Bruce Normand, A two members Italian team will attempt Spantik Peak led by Roberto Piantoni, A nine members Spanish team will attempt Rakaposhi led by Jordi Bosch Leo, An Italian team with six members will attempt Gasherbrum I and II led by Gloria Brighenti, French and Spanish team will attempt Broad Peak with seven members led by Mr. Serge Civera, Another Spanish team with eight members will try to climb Gasherbrum II led by Mr. Jorge Egocheaga, First Slovenian Austrian Himalaya Expedition will attempt Broad Peak with seven members led by Mr. Franc Oderlap, in the end Kobler & Partner are again in Pakistan for Gasherbrum II peak with eight members led by Mr. Klaus Tscherrig.
