1215 hours local) Two Helicopters have been sent to Shimshal to
look for Ben.27-Jul-2008(1200 hours local) Helicopters at hi alert, waiting
for improvement in weather to be flown to Shimshal for search. 26-July-2008
(1500 hours local) The weather remains inclement, helicopters at hi alert, no
news about the gentleman from Shimshal.(0900 hoursLocal) - Search for Benjamin
Cheek remains with held due to poor weather in the area. 24-Jul-2008 At (1215
hours local) Mr. Naik Nam, the local tour operator informed to launch the
search & rescue tomorrow due to negative weather at Shimshal Valley. (1000
hours local) Request for rescue of British climber Mr. Benjamin Cheek of
British White Horn Expedition from Shimshal Valley received at 1015 hrs on 23
July 2008.

The operation with 2 helicopters will commence immediately on
