There is tremendous opportunity in Afghanistan for trekkers and Mountaineers. Hundreds of climb and un-climb Peaks are waiting for you to explore. In fact in 2003 after two decades an International Expedition climbed Noshaq Peak highest in Hindu Kush of Afghistan.

After decades of civil war, invasion by Russia, its give very less importunately for mountain lover to visit this part of world. Now with the help of International organization Mountain Wilderness of Italy is training and supporting local people to act as a mountain guide and porters and encouraging tourists and tour operators to organize trip for Afghanistan. They trained 22 people among two of them are woman and nine of them are former Mujahideen fighters.

There are high potential of trekking and mountaineering activities in North of Afghanistan in Panjshir Valley, and the famous Wakhan Corridor, where the country's highest peaks are located.
