  Climber dies on Annapurna IV


As per the report of Liaison Officer and the Group Leader of Mountain Cleaning Expedition to Annapurna IV Expedition team, the following one member died on 11th October,  2005, at an altitude of 6500 m. on the camp 3 of Mt. Annapurna IV. 

1.                Mr. Alois Erich MAG. Schimpfossl (60 yrs.), Retiree,  Frutzolen 23, 6830 Rankweil, Austria.

          The 5 members above mentioned expedition team was permitted to climb 7525 meter high Mt. Annapurna IV from North West Ridge for the period of 60 days from 1st October, 2005 under the leadership of Mr. Reinhold Oblak from Austria.

          The handling agency of the expedition team is Blue Sky Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation expresses its deep sorrow on his sad demise.
