When a space will remain empty for the eternity.

But there is consolation for those who understands that every man has the right and the duty to fight for his goals,

to push the human limits higher than before.  

Those men will never die,

because dies who quits his dreams,

who remains moveless in this challenging world.

Jean Christophe will always be alive in the hearts and minds of everyone who understands that, who admires the huge dimension of his goals.

Our pain will slowly heal by remembering that he rests where he decided to live, where he decided to be.

Now he is the mountain, and the mountain is he,

the Makalu has never been best accompained,

while Jean Christophe walked through the path to heaven that he chose.
