The latest from the
Department of State: The search team did not locate Trevor today. Mr. Stokol
at about 4pm requested the trekking agency to add 6 additional Sherpa's to the
rescue efforts. As of 5:00pm there was no word whether the additional 6
sherpas were ready to be dispatched to the search area or not. The next
planned phone call with the search team is at 7AM Friday morning.
Trevor Stokol, a 25 year old American is missing near Mt.
Everest.
Please let us know if you have any information about him:
Trevor Stokol (23) of Dallas has been missing since last
Friday. He was separated from his group near Base Camp when he tried to take
some pictures. Last seen in the ice cave area with a dog who joined him on the
trail. His family has brought in Sherpas and a helicopter to help in the
search. If anyone has seen him or had contact with him please let us know.
PRAY FOR GOOD WEATHER
Previous Update:
The Sherpas were unsuccessful today. Trevor apparently has the
companionship of a dog that followed he and Aurelia on their hike...the dog
stayed on with Trev when Aurelia went back, and hopefully they are keeping
each other warm.
Arnie and Ellwyn, weather permitting will be going by helicopter with
Nico, a Belgian climber, who has offered to be dropped off with the
Sherpas. He thinks Trevor wandered off more south than anticipated and is
south and east of Gorak Shep. They will also do a fly over the area in the
hope that Trev will hear them and "show" himself so that then the sherpas can
go and get him.
This can only be done weather permitting...................PRAY FOR GOOD
WEATHER AND FOR HIS SAFE RETURN
