
The Colorado Mountain Club’s
annual photography exhibit was established to showcase the photography of its
members and is a club tradition dating back to 1918. Each year CMC members are
encouraged to submit their best shots representing mountains, mountain flora
and fauna, people and, in conjunction with current planned programs, the
Himalayas. This year’s submission will result in one hundred photographs being
placed on display. The
fine art print exhibit opens Wednesday, November 29 and runs through Saturday,
December 9 at the
American Mountaineering
Center, 710 10th St. in Golden.
Hours are 2:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
weekdays and Noon-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

An Opening Night Reception
will be held on November 29 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. followed by a special
screening of “Light of the Himalaya”. This film documents the 2005 team of
world-class alpinists, journalists and filmmakers who joined forces with
doctors from the Himalayan Cataract Project in a remarkable and landmark
mountaineering expedition.
