Nepal to cut Everest climbing fee!

Well, kind of! With no expedition planned for Autumn and no winter expeditions, Nepal is stated to be planning to cut the fee for Autumn and winter expeditions by up to 75%.... Ang Tshering Sherpa, president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association and owner of Asian Trekking the largest agency in Nepal has been working on this.

Almost all expeditions climb in the Spring when the risk of death is much much less and conditions are much better with higher summit rates.

So maybe we will see some more Autumn and maybe even some winter expeditions!
